Medley Round Robin Descriptions
|
In the top left-hand corner Cheryl has sewn a little girl with blonde plaits sitting on a huuuuge pumpkin! The little girl is in a blue chequered jumpsuit and the pumpkin is ... pumpkin coloured | On the opposite corner Judy has placed a cornucopia filled with fruit - a bunch of grapes, a pair of pears, an apple and a pineapple. |
| Next down Janeen has done a pretty circle of yellow leaves and acorns called 'Nesting Place' | And across Kelly has sewn four green leaves in the corners of the square, and in the middle is a basket of harvest goodies - some squash, an aubergine. some variegated corn (is there a special name for that?), some apples and possibly a plum! |
| Next line Tam has done a charming picture of a deer drinking from a pool with autumn trees in the background, and it's all reflected in the pool! | Opposite is a scene by Sue with harvest mice perched on some corn and under a red spotted mushroom - so I did get some fungi after all <g> |
| Bottom left Sabine has done a red squirrel with a big bushy tail and eating an autumn nut. |
And finally Allison has done me a Thanksgiving Turkey! Before it was plucked, I hasten to point out |
| - | Kelly has stitched the Jefferson Memorial building in grey and white with a green background. |
Sue has stitched the Holyrood Palace building. I had not known about it and I am happy to see it, because I have learned a little bit about England. |
Judy has stitched a light- house building. I do not know if it is a real building and where it might stand. |
| Allison has stitched a colourful, great stitching work. It shows Washington D.C. | Janeen has stitched a house for me to see a little bit how houses in Virginia look. | ||
| Jane has stitched a Cornish tin mine. | Sabine's own stitching, the big Ferris Wheel in Vienna. | Cheryl has stitched an original house from her land. (Australia) | Tam has stitched a great motif for my theme. She has stitched the Sacre Coeur in France over one for me. The stitching work is in grey and white with a little bit of green. |
| Allison stitched two precious butterflies fluttering around a green leaf. The larger one has blends of yellow, gold and brown in it, and the smaller one has blends of blue and black in it...wonderful! | And last, but not least, next to Judy's butterfly, Tam stitched a beautiful monarch butterfly, using blends of brown, gold, orange and blue...lovely! | Judy stitched a gorgeous monarch butterfly in the top right corner, using blends of purples and greens...absolutely stunning! |
| Jane stitched a ravishing monarch butterfly, using blends of grey, white gold and brown...delightful! | Janeen's over-one picture of sweethearts under a tree. | Sue stitched a stunning monarch butterfly, using blends of yellows and browns, fluttering around a delicate blue flower...pretty! |
| Kelly stitched a breathtaking monarch butterfly, using blends of specialty threads of purple, lavender, blue and white...love it! | Underneath my sweethearts, Cheryl stitched a striking monarch butterfly, using blends of orange, brown, gold, black and white...very nice! | Sabine stitched a beautiful monarch butterfly under it, using blends of blues, white, yellows and browns. The butterfly is perched atop a dainty pink flower...lovely! |
| Janeen, thank you for the lovely pink and blue mary engelbreit pattern than you stitched for me. | - | And last completing the top of the design is a lovely white flower that to be totally honest I can't remember what the name of it is. Sue help me out is this a water lily? Whatever the name of it is it is beautiful! | Above Kelly's pansy is an absolutely breathtaking spray of pink roses that Tam stitched! My mother is green with envy! She loves roses almost as much as I do! Thank you Tam! |
| Below that is a pretty design by Jane with pink and purple fuschias. Thank you Jane. | Middle | Middle | Working up from the bottom on the right side of the piece Kelly has stitched a gorgeous Pansy of light and dark purple just like the ones I grow in my flower boxes in the winter! I will think of you each time I see them this winter! |
| To complete the left side of the design is a very pretty white lilium in one of the large rectangular design areas. I absolutely adore Lilies! Thank you Judy. | Beside Judy's design Sabine has stitched a pink design of tulips which are beautiful! Sabine they are so pretty against the light pink material!! | To complete the bottom part of the design Cheryl has stitched a design of White, purple and yellow flowers that is stunning! I love the yellow mixed in with the design. | - |
